About Me, Myself & I

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
The name is Deiontae Nicholas and what would life be without pictures? Just thoughts and that’s quite boring.
Originally from the Great state of Ohio, in Columbus then my family and I decided to come up north.

Wayne State University Broadcast/Journalism student with a minor in New Media.

2x GLIAC All-Academic Team member and 2x CoSida All-District Nominee, current GPA over 3.3 in all journalism courses.

Member of the Wayne State University Football Team for the past 3 years.

1st Team All-GLIAC & 2nd Team All-Region football honors for the past season.

I want to pursue a career in the broadcasting or journalism field once I complete college. My beat is sports because I’ve played them my whole life and am still currently involved.

“A beat blog; where a team of reporters working the same beat pool their posts to provide a steady stream of news and notes on one specific topic: say, sports reporters blogging about the Yankees,” (Online Reporting, pg. 162).

I want to be able to impact people across the world; show and tell them about things that they have never seen or heard of. Speaking positivity and life into others is what I find to be life-fulfilling. I always want to come forward with the truth and uphold the good name of journalists also!

“Many journalists are bloggers, but very few bloggers are journalists. Few bloggers do actual reporting; many confuse facts with opinions, posting unedited screeds that are untrustworthy, even libelous,” (Online Reporting, pg. 162).

Over-interested in life and wish to live moments more than once but if I can capture it on a camera then I can re-live the memory forever.

Outside of school and football, I enjoy fishing, being with loved ones and friends, playing video games and one of my newest hobbies is reading.

Reading gives the mind a chance to create its own visual representation of the words in the book, allowing more creative thoughts to swirl around in the head.

I believe I am an opportunity seeker and that will never stop, the rewards are never-ending.

Positive energy and a positive mind are the best ways to improve your situation because even when the world seems like it’s coming down, I can always control my attitude.

And again, I am Deiontae Nicholas and what do you think life would be without pictures?
